Cure Day Hospitals is a dynamic and energetic company that is expanding rapidly with Fourteen (14) operational hospitals. We are looking for a dynamic and energetic New Business Development professional to join our EXCO team at the Head Office in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria.

KEY OUTPUTS

  • Identify potential areas for development of new day hospitals.
  • Identify possible opportunities for outright purchase or joint venture.
  • Manage the application process for new licences in identified areas
  • Interact with local medical personnel, including the various surgical specialities, anaesthetists and nursing staff if known, regarding the proposed day hospital.
  • Liaise with potential developers in proposed areas
  • Presentation of proposal of project if viable to Cure Holdings Board
  • Continuous engagement with potential Doctors and investors to ensure buy-in.
  • Continuous engagement with the relevant provincial offices of Department of Health-DoH.
  • Follow up on commitment of involved medical personnel.
  • Liaise with CEO and CFO for financial arrangement of the new hospital.
  • Manage new hospital commissioning project in conjunction with EXCO members
  • Assist with reviewing existing hospitals and drafting turnaround strategies.
  • Especially for under-performing hospital.
  • The above list is not exhaustive, and you may be asked to undertake reasonable additional duties/projects requested by CURE.

REQUIREMENTS

  • CA(SA) with 3–5 years post-articles, finance role experience in Healthcare Industry.
  • Any project management or marketing qualification will be advantageous
  • Financial management skills – ability to develop budgets and financial models and modify these as required
  • Marketing and Negotiation skills to interact with various stakeholders DoH, Developers, Medical Practitioners, and staff.
  • Project managements skills to identify, plan and manage the development of a new Day Hospital.
  • Planning and development skills to identify areas of interest both for start-ups and potential purchases.
  • Managerial abilities to adapt and develop SOPs around projects, both the assessment and development of potential projects.
  • Entrepreneurial skills to grow a new department and establish its procedures
  • Ability to interact with the committee but work independently
  • Prepared to travel as required and work outside of usual hours of business
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Excellent team player.
