Cure Bloemfontein and Dr Fischer, helped child with an ORIF radius fracture repair.

Cure Day Hospitals Bloemfontein had the opportunity to join forces with Dr Philip Fischer, Orthopaedic Surgeon to help seven-year-old, Ziane van der Merwe with an ORIF radius fracture repair. Ziane broke her right arm in two places at Day Care and was rushed to Parys District Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Ziane was not covered by medical aid. The Parys District Hospital referred her to the Boitumelo Regional Hospital in Kroonstad, who then referred her to Pelonomi Academic Hospital. After seven days, Ziane still did not receive treatment for her fractured radius and was in severe pain. She was referred by a government doctor to Dr Philip Fischer.
