Dr Hegter, a specialist obstetrician and gynecologist in Pretoria attained her Master of Medicine degree (MMed) with distinction, undertaking her original research in gestational diabetes under the guidance of Professor Sumaiya Adam. It was during her time at UP that she developed a passion for minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery.
Dr Hegter is dedicated to ensuring her patients’ comfort during consultations. She understands the anxiety many women experience during gynecological appointments and goes the extra mile to make them feel at ease and reassured in her care.
