Freda has been a key member of the Cure Day Hospitals team for over a decade, most recently serving as Financial Manager. With a proven track record in finance, governance, and operational oversight, she brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this strategic new role.
In her new capacity, Freda will be responsible for driving the internal audit function across the group, focusing on risk management, compliance, and strengthening internal controls. She will report directly to CEO Bert von Wielligh and have direct access to the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, ensuring transparency and alignment with the highest standards of corporate governance.
Freda holds a BCompt degree and an Honours in Financial Accounting from UNISA. She is a registered Tax Practitioner and an Associate General Accountant (AGA) with SAICA. Throughout her time at Cure Day Hospitals, she has played a key role in several high-impact projects, including system migrations, audit coordination, and hospital expansion initiatives.
Her appointment reflects Cure Day Hospitals’ ongoing commitment to operational integrity, strategic oversight, and excellence in healthcare delivery.
