On the 5 September 2024 in a heartening show of community support, Cure Day Hospital Wilgeheuwel has secured the necessary resources to perform a critical knee surgery for 1st team rugby player Brad Brown, a student at Hoërskool Noordheuwel. Brad, originally from Cape Town, suffered a serious knee injury during a Lion’s rugby game on 12 June 2024, putting his promising rugby career in jeopardy.
Thanks to Cure Day Hospital Wilgeheuwel’ s commitment to compassion and healthcare excellence, a dedicated medical team led by Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Manie de Wilde performed the surgery. Cure Day Hospital Wilgeheuwel rallied behind Brad and secured the necessary implants and medical expertise, ensuring that he receives the care he needs at no cost to his family.
