Dr Harry Papagapiou, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sports Surgeon & Knee reconstructive specialist, has opened his state-of-the-art rooms in our building – Sunset Square, Fourways.
Dr Harry Papagapiou is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, and a Fellowship trained Knee specialist & Soft Tissue reconstructive surgeon.
Qualifying as an M.D in 2005 through WITS University, and obtaining his FC (Orth) SA in 2014, he continued to sub specialize in the field of Soft tissue & Knee reconstructive surgery throughout 2015.
His main focus of interests include Sports surgery, Knee Surgery & Shoulder Surgery ranging from Soft Tissue reconstruction (Including cartilage, Ligament restorative and reconstructive surgical options), Arthroscopic surgery & Arthroplasty.

This is a new era, with modern expectations and goals, and now more than ever current trends meet current lifestyles from as simple as day case surgical procedures, ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery), to advancements in modern surgical techniques & designs ranging from cutting edge technology such as, 3D printing PSI, Computer Navigation & Robotic Surgery, to latest implant designs including improved kinematics & Tribology & metallurgy options.
These are some examples of modern developments that facilitate in delivering these expectations.
Recent drive is towards Robotic knee surgery, and he is a certified user of the NAVIO Robotics System.
His current affiliations are with the SAOA (South African Orthopaedic Association) & SAKS (South African Knee Society)
