While Nicola and Lynda have both worked for Cure for the past 4 years -Nicola from January 2019 and Lynda in May of the same year, they share a working career together spanning 16 years.
Their clinical paths, culminating in a career with Cure Day Hospitals, were very different before working together in the business sector, with Nicola completing a Degree in Nursing from the University of Stellenbosch and then going on to work in the clinical sector in maternity, theatre as well as medical repping across the Western Cape and Lynda completed the original 3-year diploma, followed by a Diploma in Midwifery and a Certificate in Infection Control. Lynda has worked clinically in KZN, Gauteng, and the WC as well as for two years in the United Kingdom.
Nicola and Lynda then worked together from 2007 in the specialized healthcare contract cleaning field -both holding senior positions in the companies they worked for and receiving many accolades and awards. This honed their business skills and utilized their clinical knowledge and experience to ensure gold cleaning standards, as part of the infection control programmes, were maintained and upheld. Experience gained was across the private and government sector both in South Africa and abroad (Namibia, Lesotho, and Sudan).
Both obtained additional qualifications – Post Graduate Diplomas in Business administration and Nicola has completed an express MBA.
Their careers in both the nursing and business sectors from the ground up have allowed them to lead with insight, knowledge, and understanding and they both look forward to a long and fulfilling career at Cure Day hospitals.
