We are proud to announce the appointment of Phumza Cakwebe as Hospital Manager of Cure Day Hospitals Gqeberha, effective 1 March 2026.
Phumza brings over 13 years of operating theatre leadership experience across both the public and private healthcare sectors. She most recently served as Deputy Theatre Unit Manager at Advanced Medical Forum Theatre and was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Association for Perioperative Practitioners of South Africa (APPSA).
With a strong clinical foundation and a passion for perioperative excellence, Phumza will lead the operational readiness and team development of our second Eastern Cape hospital as we prepare for opening mid-2026.
We look forward to the leadership, expertise, and energy she brings to the Cure Day Hospitals family and the broader Gqeberha community. We are confident that under her guidance, the hospital will establish a strong culture rooted in quality care, collaboration, and compassion from day one.
