Walking Together for Awareness, Hope and Support

A group of dedicated staff members from Cure Day Hospitals Midstream recently joined the 3rd annual Lupus Walk in support of individuals and families affected by lupus, hosted by US IN LUPUS za.

The event brought together a community of advocates, healthcare professionals, patients and supporters, united by a shared commitment to raising awareness about this often-misunderstood autoimmune disease. Lupus occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues and organs, causing inflammation and a wide range of symptoms that can significantly impact a person’s quality of life.

At Cure Day Hospitals Midstream, we believe that healthcare extends beyond the walls of our hospital. By participating in initiatives such as the Lupus Walk, we demonstrate our commitment to compassion, empathy and community engagement while standing alongside those facing health challenges every day.

The walk served as a reminder of the strength and resilience of those living with lupus and the importance of creating awareness, fostering understanding and supporting ongoing advocacy efforts. We are proud of our team members who represented Cure Day Hospitals Midstream and embodied our values through their willingness to make a positive impact in the community.

Together, we walk not only to raise awareness, but to inspire hope, promote understanding and support those whose lives are touched by lupus.
