Dr Emmanuel Mukahiwa is a qualified Specialist Ophthalmologist who specializes in the following surgeries:
- Strabismus
- Glaucoma
- Cataract Surgery including Paediatric Cataracts
- Retractive (including LASIK, SMILE, PRK)
- Cornea (including transplants -DMEK, DSAEK, PKP, DALK)
Dr Mukahiwa is currently specializing in Refractive, Cornea and Lens Surgery with the University of Miguel Hernandez in Spain under the Directorship of Prof Jorge Alio. He is doing his practicals under the guidance and training of Dr Frikkie Potgieter based in Pretoria at Optimed Eye and Laser Clinic.
