Dr. Malango Somwe is a highly skilled General Surgeon with a remarkable career in the medical field. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kinshasa, followed by completing his specialist surgeon training at the prestigious University of Witwatersrand.

Dr. Somwe began his professional journey with an internship at Groot Hoek Hospital from 1991 to 1992, where he gained valuable experience in the medical field. He then continued to work at Groot Hoek Hospital as a medical officer until 1994, before moving on to become a medical officer in the department of surgery at Johannesburg General Hospital from 1994 to 1995.

From 1995 to 2000, Dr. Somwe served as a registrar in the department of surgery at Witwatersrand University faculty of Health science, rotating through Baragwanath, Charlotte Maxeke, Hillbrow and Helen Joseph Hospital. His dedication and hard work led him to become a Trauma surgeon at Milpark Hospital from 2002 to 2003.

Since 2003, Dr. Somwe has been practicing as a General Surgeon at Netcare Alberton and Mulbarton Hospital, where he continues to provide exceptional care to his patients. His passion for helping others and his unwavering commitment to excellence have earned him a respected reputation in the medical community. Dr. Somwe’s expertise and compassionate approach make him a valued member of the healthcare team, and he is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of his patients.
