Cure Day Holdings welcomes Sorita van Tonder as our new Group Marketing Manager. With over 18 years of experience spanning various industries including Healthcare, Infrastructure, Automotive, and Education, Sorita brings a wealth of expertise to our organisation. Sorita holds a B-Tech degree in International Communications from Tshwane University of Technology, complemented by additional training in Graphic Design, Crisis Management, and Media Training.
Sorita’s journey in the field of marketing and communications began at Nissan South Africa (Pty) Ltd, where she served as a Corporate Communications Coordinator. During her tenure, Sorita successfully coordinated internal communications, assisted with product and corporate media, and played a key role in corporate social investment initiatives. Her strategic approach and attention to detail contributed significantly to successfully launching new products and enhancing internal communication platforms. Sorita later transitioned to Aveng Limited (JSE Listed) as the Group Communications & Marketing Manager after her time at Nissan. In this role, she managed the group communications portfolio across five businesses, where her leadership was instrumental in improving employee engagement, launching a new corporate identity, and managing PR efforts to enhance the Aveng brand identity in the market. Most recently, Sorita managed the Marketing & Communications portfolio at Life Wilgers Hospital, where she developed and executed targeted marketing strategies, managed the hospital’s reputation, assisted in the recruitment of new specialists, and coordinated a variety of stakeholder engagement events. Her expertise has been instrumental in the hospital’s recognition as the “Best of Pretoria” facility for three consecutive years.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sorita values her family life; she is married and a mother to two children. She embraces an active lifestyle, delighting in activities such as road running, culinary exploration, and nature.
