Sr Maria Mauoane commonly known as “Nnanile” grew up in Groblersdal and completed her matric
in 1984 at Ramohlokolo High school.
Sr Maria started nursing training in 1985 and completed in 1989. Between 1989 and 1990 she studied
midwifery at Philladelphia Hospital. She then came back to Kalafong hospital where she was allocated
In theatre as a scrub nurse.
In 1995 she proceeded to Garankuwa for theatre training.
She then went abroad to work at Kings College London (UK) from 1997 till 2011.
Sr Maria is an active member of APPSA. She enjoys travelling, gardening and renovations.
She is currently doing post basic studies with Unisa.
